Announcement:
1-day Skin Characterisation Workshop - San Diego, April 30, 2018 |
On 30th April, STE,
Inc. of Baltimore will host a 1-day Skin Characterisation Workshop in San Diego, to provide expert
presentations and hands-on experience of five sophisticated skin characterisation instruments, as follows:
|
|
|
The Wheelsbridge
Tissue Viability Imager TiVi700 can see beneath the top layer of
the skin or other tissues, to provide information about the underlying microcirculation and other tissue
parameters. Presented by Prof Gert Nilsson. |
|
The Biox
Epsilon Model E100 is a contact imaging system with a linear and
calibrated response for characterising near-surface properties of skin, hair and other soft materials.
Use it to measure hydration, insensible perspiration, skin micro-relief, etc, in-vivo or in-vitro. Presented
by Dr Elliott Berg. |
|
The Pixience
C-Cube Clinical is a colour-calibrated ultra-high definition 2D and
3D imaging system for diverse skin measurements, including colour in Lab* co-ordinates, melanin & hemoglobin,
dryness, sebum content and skin structures such as wrinkles, pores and micro-relief. Presented by Romain
Vie. |
|
The Biox
AquaFlux Model AF200 is the top-performing instrument for skin barrier
characterisation by the TEWL method. Accurate calibration ensures that measurements are consistent from
instrument to instrument and from time to time. Immunity from artefacts associated with probe angle,
contact pressure and hand-heat ensures that measurements are consistent from operator to operator. Quick-interchange
measurement caps adapt the instrument to diverse tasks in-vivo, ex-vivo, in-vitro and in-culture. Presented
by Dr Elliott Berg. |
|
The Taberna
Pro Medicum DUB SkinScanner High Frequency Ultrasound System produces
high-resolution scan images of the epidermis, dermis, and subdermal structures for precise assessment
of skin thickness and density. Presented by George Kramer. |
